Question: What is Gururaj's message?
Gururaj:
People today are operating more on the level of the mind and less on the level of the heart. That is where our teachings differ from most of the systems in the world; with our practices there is a simultaneous development of the mind and heart. The heart feels the joy and the mind appreciates the joy. This is the message of today. Age old, but presented in its modern context.

Question: What is the purpose of meditation?
Gururaj:
The purpose of meditation is to bring about a harmony between mind, body, and spirit. The harmony already exists; all it requires is conscious recognition and experience. What do we mean by experiencing harmony? The answer is simple; to feel peace within yourself so much so that all problems can come and yet you remain peaceful. Everything can go all mad and haywire around you and yet you preserve your peace and tranquility.

Question: Is it difficult to mediate?
Gururaj:
It is NOT difficult to meditate, in fact, it is quite simple and very relaxing.

Question: Why should I meditate?
Gururaj:
Meditation not only gives you awareness ; it gives you knowingness. Meditation awakens virtues and positive qualities in you that you need to come to realization.

Question: What is personalized meditation:
Gururaj:
To be truly effective, meditation practices must be individually prescribed and individually taught. There are many types of meditation techniques and an infinite number of variations within each category. The precise practice or combination of practices that a person needs are dependent on many factors. For this reason the meditation techniques that are taught to students are individually chosen.

Question: How can meditation help in my everyday life?
Gururaj:
In daily living, the qualification of spiritual unfoldment shows in the way we tackle our problems. When we can turn that which was previously unjoyous into joy: that is a sure sign of spiritual unfoldment.

Question: Is the Canadian Meditation Society a religion:
Gururaj:
We do not preach any particular religion Religions may differ at lower levels, but the meeting ground of all religions, at their highest level, is that God is love and love is God. If you are a Christian, become a better Christian, If you are a Muslim, become a better Muslim. If you are a Jew become a better Jew.
